San Jose Loses. That Team From Canada Advances.

Daily Pucking Grind. That Wasn't Icing. May 24th.

I’m out of town this weekend….going back to Chicago for my niece’s high school graduation.  I’m moving Friday Flashback to today. Why? Cause I can.  We go back again to the late 70’s.  1979 for I Want You To Want Me by Cheap Trick.

Here’s my review of the Sharks and Canucks game from last night.  San Jose lost 3-2 in overtime.  The refs blew an icinig call allowing the Canucks to tie the game with 13 seconds left.  Game ended around 12:50 A.M. Eastern time.  Sharks are out. Damn it!

The Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning go at it tonight in game six in Florida.  Dwayne Roloson will be starting in goal for the Lightning, as coach Guy Boucher of Tampa thought that a rest in game five would do Rollie some good.  I hope so since I don’t want Boston in the final either.  Links after the jump.

Puck Daddy’s Three Stars for Tuesday night.  Including a great hit by Douglass Murray on the drama queen Ryan Kesler.

Former Chicago Blackhawk great Stan Mikita has been diagnosed with oral cancer. We wish him the very best.

Another frustrating defeat for the San Jose Sharks.

Elliotte Friedman’s 30 Thoughts.  Must reading for a Wednesday.

Alex Steen talks about Winnipeg where his dad used to play.

Mayors of Winnipeg and Atlanta both speak about their situations.
