Chokeapalooza. Game Three Notes.

Who Will Avoid The Choke? Source: Kristenmanger wordpresscom

The San Jose Sharks will try to prevent the Vancouver Canucks from taking a stranglehold of this series tonight.  going down three games to none would back the Sharks into a corner that they probably couldn’t get out.  Let alone cause me to eat more shoes should Vancouver advance.  San Jose is 4-3 at home during the playoffs and was 25-11-5 during the regular season.  Playing in the “Shark Tank” is usually no picnic and San Jose will need to use that energy to get themselves back on track.

Coach Todd McLellan is contemplating some line up changes, and is also looking for a more composed attack tonight by his team.  He was interviewed earlier today.  Click on the link below to see what he had to say about tonight.

Todd McLellan.

As for the Canucks, if the world ends tomorrow, none of this matters and they won’t win the Cup.  I’m not ready for the impending rapture, but nonetheless, taking a three games to none lead will make it next to impossible for the Sharks to come back.  Sure the Hawks almost did it in round one, but with a few big guns missing in San Jose, and the Boobs Twins suddendly finding their stroke again, Vancouver just may be too much for San Jose.  I think they’ve exposed a few things that Sharks need to fix.  Tonight.

Keep this in mind.  Bobby Lose has not won a game in San Jose since the 2006-2007 season.  Coach Alain Vigneault addressed that today among other things in his interview.

My post season of hockey isn’t going well as you probably know.  A Boston -Vancouver match up is not on my radar.  Knowing that San Jose has been outscored 6-1 in the third period of this series makes me nervous.  If they can jump on Louie early, get a good lead, and maintain some momentum, they might make a series out of this.  Locating Dany Heatley might be a good thing too.
