Tonight’s Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruin matchup hopes to provide the same energy that game two did, as the scene shifts to Tampa. Game one of the series was won rather easily by the Lightning by a score of 5-2, as the Bruins never found their legs. However game two saw the Bruins end Tampa’s eight game playoff winning streak with a 6-5 victory, and what has been deemed as the coming out party for Tyler Seguin. The rookie forward who had yet to play in any playoff game, now has appeared in two and has three goals, three assists, and six points.
Also Patrice Bergeron looks to be back in the lineup tonight for the Bruins after sitting out with concussion symptoms that he developed in the final game of the series against the Flyers.
The Lightning meanwhile will have to bounce back and get a much better defensive performance as a team, and see to it that Dwayne Roloson comes back to form. Roloson was replaced by Mike Smith after giving up six goals on 27 shots Tuesday night. Tampa has not shortage of scoring with Steven Stamkos, Vincent Lecalvalier and Martin St. Louis in the lineup. If they’re going to win this series however, things will have to tighten up for them.
