So the San Jose Sharks are now hanging on for dear life as the Detroit Red Wings will be taking them to a seventh game, after the Sharks were leading the series three games to none. That makes two Western Conference playoff series that have done that this year. Last night’s 3-1 Wings victory could easily have been 6-1 had it not been for Antti Niemi’s performance in goal. Offensively the Sharks looked scared, timid, and as though they were protecting a lead most of the night. Even though Jeremy Roenick apologized for his harsh words on ex- teammate Patrick Marleau, he wasn’t/isn’t really off base. The Wings however remained composed, confident and determined. Now we get a seventh game in San Jose Thursday night where anything can happen.
