Iron Maiden is a British heavy metal band that survived every trend since the release of their first album in 1980. The group gained a strong following in England after the release of their first two albums with singer Paul Di’Anno. But it wasn’t until the group replaced Di’Anno with singer Bruce Dickinson that the group gained mass popularity in the States.
The band went through a series of lineup changes in the 90’s before the classic era lineup reunited in 2000 along with third guitarist Janick Gers. The group has stayed together ever since, releasing new music and touring the world, where they still draw massive crowds in Europe and South America. Last Saturday, they played the Bank Atlantic Center in one of two US dates so far this year.
Since I’m filling in on this post for our lead writer, Frank Rekas, who is back in his old stomping grounds of Chicago, I only found it apropos that today’s choice is Coming Home. The song comes from their new record, The Final Frontier. This is a live audience shot clip from Moscow this past February. Enjoy!
