Erik Gudbranson. Something To Look Forward To!

So much for taking a break….a rest….a much needed day away from this thing called a laptop.  I had full intention of not turning this thing on at all today, and I was doing pretty good.  Waiting for friends who were visiting  from Michigan to get back from a few errands they were running, and to give me a call to come over, have a few “pops” and watch some hockey.  And maybe a little March Madness as well.

My plan was going great until my good friend @AnneLaur sent me a link on Twitter about my future son in law her potential future husband (she and I aren’t related, but have the same goals in mind. ha ha) future Florida Panthers defenceman Erik Gudbrason. That was all it took and here I am.  Guess I’m easy huh?  Nevermind as that’s a discussion for another time.

A good video by Ryan Kennedy from the Hockey News via Hockey Addicts is what she sent to me that is worth your five minutes of viewing.  More after the jump.

As the season for the Panthers winds down, we can find comfort, and excitement in knowing that Big Guddy (that’s what Doug Gilmour calls him) should be in the NHL next season.  Erik, or Big Guddy, is described in the video as surly and phsyical among other positive terms.  He’s also had a chance to work on his offensive skills, and there’s a move he makes that I’m looking forward to seeing next season.

While the Florida Panthers have been eliminated from the playoffs for a record 10th consecutive season, I’m actually excited about next year and what can be.  Having Erik in the lineup patrolling the blue line, banging bodies, and sticking up for his teammates has me anxious for what will be.

I’ll take the snarl, the surlyness and the tough physical play.  Just be nice to the ladies!

Oh and by the way, follow @AnneLaur. She knows her hockey!
