Stu Siegel. Someone Who Cares.
By Frank Rekas
The NHL has been asking for disaster relief donations for the Japan tragedy that struck earlier this week. If you go to the NHL’s website you will see this link asking for help.
I would like to take that one step further, and one step deeper as Stu Siegel one of the owners of the Florida Panthers has been on his own crusade the past couple days asking people who weren’t already, to follow him on Twitter, and he would make donations totaling $5,000. He later changed that to $10,000. NYI247blogspot posted his tweet, and for those of you who didn’t see it, you can now. I believe it was $20.00 for each new follower.
We have one of the most caring and gentlemanly men as part of our ownership group, and I felt that he should be recognized for his humanitarian efforts.
Very well done Mr. Siegel.
