This week the General Manager’s of the NHL teams are gathering for their meetings here in Boca Raton, FL.  Topics of discussion will obviously revolve around head shots and player safety issues following last week’s eventful and emotional action.  Also the subject of the future of the Phoenix Coyotes as well as the recent threat of Air Canada and Via Rail to discontinue their sponsorships.  Also, Gary Bettman had his contract renewed as the NHL commissioner.  At the paltry salary of apporximately $7.2 million dollars each of the next five years.  How’s that for a cap hit!
