Saturday Song Of The Week.

White Lies and English alternative rock band from Ealing, London has it’s own unique sound.  Their original name was Fear of Flying.  The band itself consists of three members, Harry McVeigh (lead vocals, guitar), Charles Cave (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Jack Lawrence-Brown (drums).  When performing live they add Tommy Bowen and Rob Lee.

Their debut album To Lose My Life was released in 2009 and landed number on on the UK Album charts.  Their second album titled Ritual was released on January 17th of this year. Their style has been sometimes described as dark but upbeat.  They’ve been compared to bands like Joy Division, Interpol and Editors.

Here they are performing Bigger Than Us live on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
