Saturday Song Of The Week. February 12th

Michael Fizpatrick the founder of the band Fitz And The Tantrums out of Los Angeles, began writing soul music for a solo project on an old church organ that he bought.  The band quickly expanded to seven members and Fitzpatrick no shares the vocals with Noelle Scaggs.

Their first EP called Songs For a Breakup was released in 2009.  Their first full length album was released in August of 2010 called Picking Up the Pieces.  The group went on tour in 2010 and opened some shows for Maroon 5. This live performance on Jimmy Kimmel last month will probably make you get up and dance.

Enjoy.
