Daily Pucking Grind. Chasing The Fly. January 26

Today’s music choice is I’m Shipping Up To Boston by The Dropkick Murphys.  Nathan, you wanted out right?

As you know from either watching last night’s game and or checking fellow Rat Pack comrade Dave Lasseter the Panthers performed their usual cardiac surgery on us.  Losing a two goal lead only to come back from a 3-3 tie and win the game on a fluke goal by defenceman Mike Weaver.  How much of this can we take?  I would like to add the first line was virtually invisible.  Three shots on goal, total for Frolik, Booth and Weiss. A minus four combined.  Not doing nearly enough, and at times, certain parts of that trio looked listless.  I did see Booth throwing his weight around early, and that was a good sign.  But the other two?  What were they doing?

I often wonder what’s said before games, during the intermissions and after games are played.  Surely not every discussion is a Bruce Boudreau tirade, or with chairs and bottles flying.  Although sometimes that’s needed, I’m thinking that maybe once in awhile it’s a calm discussion like the one below.  Taken from the movie Bang The Drum Slowly which stared a very young and scrawny Robert DiNero, watch as Vincent DiOnofrio talks to the troops.
