David Booth and Mike Santorelli Celebrate Against the Islanders

Sorry for the late report, but we have a life you know!

I’m going to make it sort of quick and just discuss some of the details of Saturday night’s Florida Panthers win over the New York Islanders.  The game itself was decided in the second period when in a span of less than eight minutes the Florida Panthers erupted for four goals and virtually cruised to a 4-1 victory, handing the sinking Islanders their 12th loss in a row, and the second loss in a row for interim coach Jack Capuano.  (Gotta love his hair no?)

Here’s the TSN boxscore.

Mike Santorelli and Tomas Vokoun (of course) were the leaders last night as Santo scored two goals and Vokoun made 39 saves to earn his eighth victory of the season to go along with a stellar .926 save percentage.  Santo now has four goals in his last  five games, and is making valuable use of his time with good hustle and smart plays.  He seems to have a nose for the net, which is something the Cats desperately need.
