Make My Day Monday: Fisher House

Today, I donated to Fisher House. Now, until last Thursday, I’ve never heard of Fisher House. As I was driving in my car last Thursday (Veterans Day), I heard it mentioned by a disc jockey as a place that the radio station was collecting for. When I got home, I made it a point to look it up.

Basically, it serves as a Ronald McDonald House type place for families of wounded/ill soldiers. There’s one on every major military medical facility and provides families with some of the comforts of home while they could be hundreds/thousands of miles from their own homes. The donations help offset the costs of operation. No families who stay pay a thing.

If you’re so inclined, you can clink on the link above. If you have another cause that you wish to support, do so! Make someone’s Monday! It’s your community! Your nation! Your world! Make it better!!
