As we enter into the second week of November the Florida Panthers penalty kill ranks second in the NHL with only four goals allowed.  Gord Murphy has done an excellent job with this unit. Miami Herald.  On the reverse, the PP for piss poor, ranks 28th.  Which begs the question, Why is Jim Hulton still here?

Tonight is the induction ceremony for the Hockey Hall of FamePierre LeBrun from ESPN has a story on the raging debate of the Fame’s voting process.  Still no Pat Burns, which in my mind is a unconscionable!

Pierre also takes a look at some of the items that will be discussed at this week’s general manager’s meetings.  Including Dale Tallon’s coach’s challenge, and a discussion of social media. ESPN. Yahoo’s Puck Daddy says there’s also going to be some talk regarding “pest control” and “trash talking”.

Sunday’s three stars of the night included St. Louis blues backup Ty Conklin as the Blues are off to a terrific start to the season.

Dino Ciccarelli will be inducted into the Hall tonight, however there’s some debate about his goal total.  TSN.

San Jose Shark center Joe Thornton’s appeal to the NHL was denied for this hit on Blues forward David Perron.  Right call?  Wrong call?

Cammi Granato and Angela James will be making history tonight with their induction into the Hall of
