Tonight the Dallas Stars bring their 4-1 record to the Bank Atlantic Center for a tilt against the red hot, er, I mean the much improved Florida Panthers. Yea, I know, it’s only four games, but what the hell, we have to like what we’re seeing so far. The Stars are coming off a 5-4 loss at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning which broke their four game losing streak. The best start to a season that Dallas has had since 2006-2007. Pregame is coming up later this morning. It’s already prepared, so don’t anyone think I’m doing this all day!
If you’re going to the game, you should be in for a treat. Dallas has some players to keep your eyes on. Brad Richards, Brendan Morrow, James Neal, and Adam Burish. Adam Burish? Yea, the ex- Chicago Blackhawk who told Daniella Sedin that you’re brother’s ugly during one of the playoff games last year. Classic agitator and trash talker. He’s found himself on the second line!
In some community news the Florida Panthers Foundation donated $400,000 to help fight pediatric cancer.
Fans can go the the Panthers website and vote for their favourite play of the week.
Harvey over at the Sun-Sentinel reports that Byron Bitz has a hernia and will miss another six weeks. Keaton Ellerby has been recalled as well for Jason Garrison who’s nursing a groin. Injury.
Dale Tallon talks about the teams start to the season. Here.
Here’s a link to the video that was shown at the home opener. Thanks to Donny at Litter Box Cats for posting it and Snoop97Dawg for recording it. Not the Snoop Dog you’re thinking of.
You’ve all read about the Rick Rypien incident. Well now the fan who he tustled with might seek legal action. Puck Daddy breaks the story as reported to former Sun-Sentinel reporter Mike Russo.
Haven’t read enough about Rypien, here’s Russo’s column in the Star Tribune.
I would negligent if I left out Orland Kurtenblog from all the Rypien excitement.
Thanks for reading.
