I’m Back! Been away for a bit due to a number of issues that both of you reading this don’t really care about. That said, we have some interesting news today involving the Florida Panthers and one famous rock star.
First of all the national television schedule has been published for the upcoming season. Take a look to see when you’ll be able to watch a nationally televised game for your Florida Panthers:
Sunday January 23rd 2011. Florida Panthers vs. The New Jersey Devils. 3:00 P.M. Eastern. NBC.
That’s it. Also, there will be no televised games on Versus.
Thoughts? Comments. Surprised? Upset?
Personally, I’m not surprised in the least. With no “name” players, or up and coming youngster to promote, the Kitty Kats once again get the shaft from the National T.V. spotlight.
In other news out of South Beach Sunrise, FL. The tarps have been installed in the upper level at the Bank Atlantic Center. These tarps are closing the seats that have been eliminated from sales. How do you like this photo?
Here’s the official announcement from the Panthers organEYEzation regarding this eye sore.
To me it looks pretty embarrassing. Party City? And of course the streamers add such a nice touch. This looks about as classy as when we decorated our house for my daughter’s fifth birthday. Actually we did a better job.
Aren’t you glad I’m back?
Finally in a completely unrelated story, but still something that you may want to know. It was 39 years ago today that the rock and roll music industry was changed forever. At least in my opinion and probably many others. Bruce Springsteen released “Born To Run” on this date, and for me that was it. When I heard the hit single for the very first time, I was hooked!
See now how I tied in the title of the post? Pretty slick eh?
Here’s live performance by Bruce from Barcelona in 2002.
Thanks for watching and reading.
