In a very quick post for today I’m attaching a link to an article that was on the Florida Panthers website talking about if this is the year that they break the playoff curse. Aiming to end a 10 year playoff drought and two years removed form a 93 point season, changes have been made, and the end of that drought could be near, is the main jist of the article.
And then you woke up.
Reality, common sense, and taking a long hard look at the 14 other teams in the conference should tell the “smart” fan otherwise. The artcile that’s part of NHL.com’s 30 in 30 brings out some valid points about the time for change, the new attitude, and the path that Dale Tallon has the Hawks Panthers on. Naturally you want to believe that your team will be competitive enough to make the playoffs, and that you have all the hope in the world that they do.
It’s positively written, and since it’s a Sunday, I’m not going to spoil the day for you, but you know my feelings. My complete analysis is still about 30 days away, and will be posted shortly before training camp. I hope that the Panthers make the playoffs, but my analysis and prediction will show otherwise.
In the meantime, think what you want, but make sure you manage your expectations.
I am curious though, what do you think?
Thanks for reading.
