The Dog Days Of Summer?

Panther Moments From 2009-2010

Yea, pretty slow around here.  I’ve resorted to surfing You-Tube for Florida Panther highlights, or lowlights if you will from last season.  In addition to that, my brain needs a bit of a break from writing.  I have no humor in reserve, no sarcasm that I want to bring, and I’m looking for a shot of optimism, but I can’t quite find it.

So, here we go with some Panther moments from last season.

The first of course has to be the  Mike Richards hit on David Booth.  Say whatever you want, Booth should have known that Richards was coming at him, and he shouldn’t have been admiring his pretty pass.  If you watch it slowly, you will see what I mean.  I am very, very, sorry that Booth was hit so hard, but you need to know whats around you.

Here’s Booth getting hit again, this time by former Panther Jaroslav Spacek.  Watchout, keep your head up!

Who can forget Keith Ballard and his baseball swing at goaltender Tomas Vokoun?

And Ballard  again confusing hockey with baseball as he “bats” the puck into the net, under Vokoun’s pad.  Think Vokoun is happy that Ballard is gone?  Hey Louie, see what you have to look forward to?  Aren’t you glad Ballard is coming to Vancouver?

Finally, in a season of futility, here’s one bright spot, as forward Kenndal McArdle gets his first NHL goal.

That about wraps it up. If you know of any more highlights/lowlights put them in the comment section and I’ll look for them on You Tube and post them next time. Should be a short list of highlights though eh?

Thanks for reading and watching.
