Very quick recap of last night’s action starts with the Bruins beating the Flyers 4-1, in a pretty easy contest. I was able to catch the last few minutes of this one, and from what I gathered I didn’t miss too much. Blake Wheeler and Miro Satan scored 94 seconds apart for Boston, and that was about all they would need. Tukka Rask made some good saves and Mark Recchi and Patrice Bergeron also scored for Boston as they embark on a series sweep ,and their first conference final since 1992.
Aaron Asham with the lone goal for Philly as they are starting to show signs of missing Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne. Winning four in a row will be tough for them. Boston’s next challenge besides winning the final game is dealing with the loss of David Kreci who is now out with a broken wrist.
In the late game Chicago’s Dustin Byfuglien had a hat trick and goaltender Antii Niemi was stellar in net leading the Hawks to a 5-2 victory over the Canucks. The momentum that the Hawks picked up by winning Monday certainly carried over to this game even though Vancouver scored first.
The Hawks pissed off Luongo just enough to take him off his game, and their agitation of the Sedins, and the rest of the Canuckleheads allowed them to have the upper hand. Game four is Friday, as the Hawks now have a 2-1 edge.
Best quote of the playoffs was Chicago’s Adam Burish telling one of the Sedin’s that “Your brother’s ugly”!
