Well after two nights we for sure have had some great hockey so far and a few upsets! Growing up a Blackhawks fan and still follow them today even though I live in Florida (the Cats are my divorced stepchild), there are undoubtedly a couple teams that I absolutely despise.
Here’s Wednesday night’s recap.
Being raised in Chicago the team that you are trained to hate is Scum (Detroit). Phoenix came back from a 2-1 deficit and surprised the Dead Wings 3-2 Wednesday night. Hey Pierre McGuire, how do you like your “Monsters” after this one. I want the Wings out!
The other team I love to hate are the Pens, who Wednesday night fell to the Senators. This is my playoff upset special, so nice job Ottawa. I don’t know who I can’t stand more, Pittsburgh or Scum. Maybe this will help me decide:
Brian Boucher played like he was Marty Brodeur as Philly knocked off New Jersey 2-1 to take a 1-0 series lead and change the proverbial home ice advantage. Good for you Boooosh!
And finally Colorado sent sent the Sharks home wondering what the f*&k! Here we go again. Good for you Chris Stewart. Heatley, Thronton, Marleau, where are you?
Thursday saw some real intensity as Buffalo ousted Boston 2-1 in a good old fashioned division rival game. A healthy and hot Tomas Vanek could be dangerous for Buffalo. Lindy Ruff called it a very emotional game, and he was right.
The Habs and Caps went to O.T. to figure this one out and Tomas Plekanec got the game winner for the Habs. Montreal was all over the Caps in the O.T. and for that matter where was Ovie? No shots on goal in the game?
Finally the Team Sweden Vancouver beat L.A. in overtime as Michael Samuelsson got the winner. This one promises to be a long series and L.A. is not going down without a fight.
Tonight the last series gets underway as the Nashville Predators visit the Madhouse on Madison. The United Center in Chicago is gonna be electric! Can’t wait for this one to start!
Thanks for reading.
Enjoy the weekend.
