Hockey Night In Canada Opening Montage March 6, 2010

One of my favorite rituals during the hockey season is to watch the Hockey Night In Canada broadcast that here in the states we get on the NHL network.  Personally I think that the CBC does an excellent job of broadcasting games.  Their coverage, announcers, and between period segments are some of the best that you’ll see.

But one thing they also do better than anyone else, is how they can put a song to highlights and allow the music and words of the song to tell the story.  This past Saturday was a perfect example as the song chosen was by a band out of Canada called Great Lake Swimmers.  Their song “Everything Is Moving So Fast” was used in the opening of the broadcast.

Watch for yourself.

Being the music lover that I am, in my next life (ha, ha) I’d love to be the guy that does this type of stuff.
