Saturday Song(s) Of The Week

Happy New Year again to all my readers.  I hope that you enjoyed the Winter Classic.

Now I’m not a big believer in New Years resolutions, but some of you may be.  Either way, we all will make decisions this coming year either as a result of a resolution or because certain things need to change or be done better.

An old friend said to me that when we make a decision or we make a resolution there’s a price to pay, almost like a sacrifice.  A song that fits this situation perfectly is by Bruce Springsteen called The Price You Pay.  Here’s a recording from his most recent tour of the song which apparently hasn’t been played lived since 1981.

As we say goodbye to 2009, may all the decisions you make in 2010 be one’s that improve whatever it is you do.

For something new, I’ve chosen another song by The XX. A band out of England that from everything I’ve heard and read is going to have a lot of success in the future.  I know that there a bit mellow, but I just like their sound.

Here they are with a live performance on Later with Jools Holland, performing the song Night Time.

Thanks for listening.

Cheers
