Stephen Weiss of our Florida Panthers has been named the NHL’s second star of the week. Weiss had six goals in four games including a Hat Trick against the Colorado Avalanche, and the shootout winner in that game as well. Weiss had a total of 7 points in all last week.
A very deserving award, as Weiss is on pace for a career high 36 goals this year.
I know that I give him an awful lot of crap, but I had to show my human side and congratulate him on this award.
Weiss and the Panthers need something good to happen to them and this could be it.

Yea, those predictions never work. Think he’ll be lucky to get 25. As long as he’s on this team.
two points o interest from last night’s game. Horton got 24 mins. of ice time without a shot on goal.assist or penelty and deboer didn’t use Moore in the shootout despite him getting 2 goals.
He’s making some very questionnable decisions.
In any other hockey city he would be blasted for this!
