I couldn’t watch. Not that I didn’t want to, but I wasn’t able to. Maybe it was a good thing, as from what I’ve heard and read, this was an atrocious hockey game. However, we have to be pleased with the end result as the Panthers and
Tomas Vokoun shutout the Carolina DiverCanes 3-0. There were some freaky goals scored and an empty netter by defenceman Bryan Allen as the Panthers won for the third time in a row, handing the Canes their 10 consecutive loss.
Steven Reinprecht continues his torrid scoring pace as he now leads the Panthers with 9 goals on the year, getting the first goal which didn’t come until the third period after a shot bounced off him and into the net. It was all the Panthers and Vokoun would need as a spiraling Hurricanes club couldn’t get anything past the Panther netminder who made 32 saves for his second consecutive shuout of the season.
Since I really can’t comment on more than what I’ve heard, here’s the Miami Herald’s recap, as well as The Sun-Sentinel.
My Molson Canadien player of the game goes to Tomas Vokoun, again. He deserves it.

With three wins in a row I am sure that some of you want to get on the poverbial bandwagon. Hurry, there’s not much room!

Next up the Washington Capitals, as it doesn’t get easier.
Thanks for reading.
Cheers.
P.S. Damn Yankees won their 27th World Series title. Now we have to hear about that B.S. all winter!
