Two teams that are going in different directions square off tonight in a Southeast Division matchup featuring the Florida Panthers and the Atlanta Thrashers. Atlanta is going for their fourth win in a row which includes shutouts in two of three games, while the Panthers hope to put the brakes on a four game losing streak after having turned around their horrible start.
Atlanta has been using a pretty successful goalie tandem with Ondrej Pavalec and Johan Hedberg handling things as Atlanta has given up 65 goals so far this season, good enough for fifth best in the East. The Thrashers are coming [...]

Its starting. Again!
Two words come to mind among others, NO DESIRE!
Playing their seventh game in ten days including 2 games back to back the for the second time in that span, the Florida Panthers, are showing that they are out of shape gas. After not being able to hold on to three different leads against the Leafs at home on Friday night, the Panthers simply were outplayed, outhustled, and outscored against a very stingy Nashville Predator team that appeared to have the desire to stop their one game losing streak.
That my loyal readers is one of the keys. Having the desire!
I’m not [...]

Sorry for the late follow up on this hit show in Canada, but the winners of Battle of the Blades were Jamie Sale and former Edmonton Oiler Craig Simpson. Bad back and all which caused Craig to retire early, this pair was the winner and according to all reports had the lead from day one.
Wish the U.S. could broadcast this show. Personally, I can’t stand Dancing with the Stars and this show is much more interesting.
Here’s their finale. Enjoy.
Cheers

Tonight the Florida Panthers visit Music City to take on the Nashville Predators. Florida who has won four straight on the road will attempt to continue the trend however, they haven’t won in Nashville in nearly a decade going all the way back to December of 1999. Nashville had won seven in a row overall before losing to the St. Louis Blues Friday night by a score of 3-1. The Predators had 38 shots on goal against the Blues but only Dave Scatchard managed to get one past Chris Mason in the third period.
Similar to the Panthers of late, the Predators [...]

The Florida Panthers unable to hold onto leads at three different points in the game dropped one at home to the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs by a score of 6-4. I wasn’t able to attend or watch this game as playoff high school football took precedent of my Friday night, so making any comments or passing any judgement by me isn’t going to happen.
The Panthers opened the scoring and took a quick 2-0 lead in the opening two minutes on goals by Radek Dvorak and Michael Frolik. The Leafs however quickly tied it up and the Panthers realized they had a [...]
