VS.

Both teams began their season over in Europe with St. Louis winning both games against the Detroit Red Wings, and as we know the Panthers split their games against the Chicago Blackhawks. It’s been pretty much downhill for both clubs since then as the Blues are 5-5-1, and the Panthers are 3-7-1 for their respective seasons.
St. Louis is having trouble winning at home this year as they are 1-4 so far after going 23-13-5 last season. Big reason for that is that their power play on home ice is 0-21!
Andy McDonald leads the Blues with 4 goals on the season. Veteran forward Keith Tkachuk is the Blues leading point getter with 9 so far this season on 3 goals and 9 assists.
The Panthers will try to build on last night’s shootout victory over Dallas and win attempt to win their second game in a row. Normally not known for having good back to back success, especially on the road, this could be an excellent time to change that.
It looks as though the Sunrise Express Line is breaking up for now. With David Booth out with concussion symptoms from the Mike Richards hit, Head Coach Peter DeBoer has shuffled things up, and Nathan Horton, I mean Lazy Ass, has been paired up with Steven Reinprecht and Cory Stillman (still invisible), and The Little Weasel (slight change to the nickname) has been playing with Michael Frolik and Rusty Olesz. For now it’s working.
Check out our St. Louis Blues commrade Bleedin Blue for their views.
It’s an exciting weekend for sports as there is action in the NHL, MLB, NBA, NFL and NCAA football. The first weekend in history for such action!
Thanks for reading.
Cheers.
