Tonight the Philadelphia Flyers with a record of 3-1-1 take on the Florida Panthers who are 1-4, and on a 4 game losing streak. Tonights game unfortunately becomes a must win for the Panthers as they need to stop the losing streak. They will be giving goaltender Scott Clemmensen an opportunity to turn things around with his first start of the season.
The Panthers as mentioned earlier today are going to have some minor lineup changes with Cory Stillman moving to the third line and Rostislav Olesz moving up to the second. In addition to that, Shawn Matthias has been sent to Rochester, and the long awaited arrival of Dominic Moore, whom Iwill officially dub Saint Dominic, will be making his first appearance on the fourth line tonight.
The Cats are going to have to make sure that they stay composed tonight. You can bet that the Flyers will attempt to be aggressive and try to provoke the Panthers into some fisticuffs, which will not be a good idea for any Panther to oblige. If so, they will be handed a royal ass whooping from Flyer players like Chris Pronger, Daniel Carcillo, Ian LaPerriere, Riley Cote and O.K. Tollefson. From a physical standpoint this is not a good matchup as the Panthers have no one to counter these bullies. I would even stay away from trash talk, especially with Chris Pronger. Don’t be asking him how his wife likes Philadelphia. Your just asking for a bruising.
With a potent offense including young stars like Mike Richards and Jeff Carter to go along with Daniel Briere, Simon Gagne and Scott Hartnell, this isn’t a team that you want to give alot of power play chances to either. Ray Emery is expected to start and hasn’t played in about a week, so he could be a bit rusty, but this will also be Clemmensen’s first action since preseason, so it could be a goal fest.
Ah, who am I kidding, we don’t have any offense!
A big lesson tonight and a big test of maturity, and mental toughness. The Panthers have to play as a team, and not get fancy and fire away at Emery. They will not physically dominate, so don’t bother trying, but finish your checks boys, play the body a little more than you have been.
I don’t really have a good feeling about this one, but stranger things have happened. The Panthers really need to turn things around and from a confidence standpoint, this is a game to do it. Cross your fingers and hope for the best.
If you’re thinking about wearing your Scott Hartnell wig tonight, take a look at these guys first and see if it makes sense.

Thanks for reading!
Cheers!

“finish your checks,” what’s that? All these guys konw is “cash your check”
This one could get nasty.
Careful, you might give me an idea for a story with that!
Well I was not able to attend or watch the game, so my only communication was cell phone updates.
Somehow, they pulled it out. From what I’ve read so far, it good have gone the other way. But ok. It’s a win. Now they have another 5 days off with this silly schedule. Let’s see what the response is.
gotta give the boys their props, but one game does not make a season. Do it again wed. and i might start being a believer. I said “might”
Agreed. I feel the same way. Did you see what Little Stevie said?
“There’s no more excuses. We’re through with saying we’re tired,” said Weiss of the harsh words between periods. “Lets pick up the socks and get two points
Pick up the socks? How about putting on your jock!
Oh, well. It’s a start.
